Located in a serene rural setting on the banks of the South Tyne River, within the remote hamlet of Slaggyford, in the North Pennines AONB, the historic inn has been revitalised under the experienced leadership of industry veteran Nick Parkinson. Following a major refurbishment, the pub reopened in February 2023, blending tradition with modernity to retain its charm for locals while elevating its culinary standards and offering an inviting escape for overnight guests.
The kitchen is led by local chef Connor Wilson, whose passion for both Northumberland and cooking shines through in every dish.
